What could be improved for you?

I would like to see a lot of work on organisation of the interfaces of Modeler and particularly Layout. I think sometimes the environment feels disjointed and many features that are currently plug-ins buried in menus could be in the relevant object/camera/motion properties palettes. Newbies would then see them more easily and learn LightWave's features much quicker, particularly if as the user ran their mouse over these buttons a description of what it does appeared in the description window. I think users would then pick up stuff like a rocket!

Another way to help 'solidify' the interface for me would be to be able to create presets of viewport layouts to include palettes as well as views - and in one window pane. To be able to add in palettes like object properties, motion options, surface editor so that they were neatly 'bedded' into the single Layout window pane would save always having to line things up. Then enable keyboard shortcuts for different configurations and it would save me stacks of time!

I would like to see Hypervoxels made easier. I can't seem to achieve something that looks as good as I'd like.

What spec machine(s) are you using it on at the moment?

Dual Xeon 2.8, 2GB RAM, NVIDIA Quadro 900XL, 120GB IDE Hard Drive

Are there any plug-ins you wouldn't be without?

For Modeler I wouldn't be without Vertibevel or Supersize and in Layout FPrime is essential.

In your opinion: Integrated or Separated? :)

I think integrated, so that the business of not being able to edit lights and bones in Modeler for instance, or the need for separate tools for bending, stretching, etc., in Layout doesn't happen.

However, what would be a huge shame would be for the hundreds of buttons and shortcut keys in Modeler to vanish. There might be a way of somehow retaining a specialist modelling environment within Layout so that LightWave's top-rated modelling isn't watered down. I think Newtek should set someone aside to work out solutions to this and nothing else as I reckon it would be a huge bonus if they can do this well.
